Gleaning

In addition to obtaining regular weekly supplies of produce from wholesale and retail producers, we also run field gleaning sessions in which we source additional supplies of surplus food directly from the farmer’s field. Around 40% of produce grown in the UK is either surplus or it does not meet retailer standards on size or shape or is blemished, but regardless, we put it to good use.
